Happy Halloween

Alexia initially decided she wanted to be a witch for Halloween, but when we got to the store and she saw the Elsa costume, all was lost. So Alexia was a pretty cute Elsa this year and her friend, Anna, was a witch. We went to the botanical gardens in the afternoon to learn about trees and Trick-or-Treat. Adaline dressed up in her lady bug outfit, which was a little big for her, and slept through the whole thing. But I think Grandma really enjoyed learning about the trees. In the evening Anna came over for pizza and then the girls did a little Trick-or-Treating in the neighborhood. They REALLY got into it. They ran full speed from house to house and were very assertive with their Trick-or-Treat. By the end of the walk, Alexia was starting to ask if she could pick 2. We worked very hard on Thank Yous though and fortunately people are pretty forgiving of 3-year olds. I think she is already thinking about her costume for next year.
