Last week at Grandma and Grandpa's House

The girls and I spent the first week of October in Missouri at my parent's house. This was our last visit just for fun as they are moving to Virginia in a few weeks. The weather was more like summer than fall and we made the most of it. We walked around the neighborhood lake where my sisters and best friend growing up used to spend a lot of time. We went to the pumpkin patch and had a hayride and picked out pumpkins. And I got to spend the weekend with my high school girl friends at the lake celebrating our 40th trip around the sun. It was a bitter sweet trip. Hopefully, the girls will have at least a few memories of this place that was my home.
