Happy Halloween!

The girls were SUPER excited about Halloween this year. Super heroes were the choice, but for Addi it was mostly about the Bat Girl mask. Alexia was Captain Marvel. The weather was beautiful for Boo at the Zoo, and then for Halloween we went over to one of Alexia's classmates houses for trick or treating. The gang of kids was mostly older than Addi and she was a little intimidated at first. But she was determined to keep up with the big kids running frantically from house to house. After the first two houses she was struggling with her bag and being the last to get candy at the door. I thought she was going to break down and cry, but I watched her quivering lip turn to a look of determination and she handed me her bag and said "I don't want candy, mommy." Then she ran off to follow the other kids and stayed about 3 feet behind Ruth for the rest of the night. She had a blast, and Alexia was kind enough to share her haul with her sister. It was chilly for trick or treating, but the kids didn't want coats and didn't seem to notice with all the running and the sugar.
