Escaping the City

At the beginning of June, the MN state parks opened back up. We had made reservations this winter at Lake Carlos State Park to meet up with Angela and her family for a weekend of camping with our pop-ups. We decided to brave it, and I am so glad we did. It was a wonderful weekend out of the house and outdoors. The campground is right next to the lake and the girls spent the weekend fishing, playing or swimming in the lake. The campground was nearly full but we didn't really feel crowded or too close to anyone. It was a lovely weekend and so good to Angela. They brought their new puppy Jelly Bean and the girls adored her.
