Pasque Flower Hunt

To pass the time this spring, we needed to get out of the house. We did many bike rides and walks around the neighborhood and flying of kites in the nearby school field. Addi LOVED getting to fly the kite by herself and got the hang of it pretty quickly. We also took a few hikes in the prairie. Spring warmed up nicely this year, and we went looking for the first pasque flower's in mid-April. We walked around for a while and only managed to find one blooming yet but it was a welcome sign of warmer weather to come. Everything else was still pretty brown and dead. I was thankful we have these natural areas nearby to visit.
