We did another west Texas holiday this spring break just not quite like Pat Green describes it. We swung through Austin to see Tony on our way down and continued our eat as much Tex Mex as possible goal. We started that goal the day before driving through Norma, Oklahoma where we discovered Torchy's Tacos. Then we drove down to San Antonio to see Norma and take her to lunch. We hadn't seen her in person for over two years so it was wonderful to get to give her a hug. The local Mexican restaurant near her was closed on Mondays so we ended up at her favorite and a Texas tradition, Luby's. The girls were less than impressed but Norma enjoyed it. Chris' cousin's wife and daughter, Elizabeth and Isabella, joined us as well. While in San Antonio we also did a quick walk by the Alamo and the Menger hotel downtown. We didn't have time for a tour, but one the girls' favorite songs is What I Like About Texas by Gary P. Nunn, which has a line about the Alamo and the Menger hotel. They were pretty excited just to get to see it. Addi was so excited to see green leaves that she picked them up everywhere we went.
Photos and stories about Alexia and Adaline, for her family and friends.
