This March we did our third annual trip to the Ranch in west Texas. It is so nice to get out of the frozen north at that point. We drove down to Austin to see Tony for a night, and then we drove through San Antonio to visit Norma before heading west. We saw Norma's new place and filled her bird feeders for her. The girls were SUPER excited to finally arrive at the ranch. Alexia was happy to be back behind the wheel of the mule, and Addi was just happy to be running around with her cousins. Nicole had a friend and her daughter, Zaita who joined us for the first day we were out there. Addi and Annika spent a long time building home for animals and River asked Chris to flip over every rock looking for critters. Unfortunately, a stomach bug of some sort hit a few people for a day. But we spent our last day having a birthday party for River, floating down the Rio Grande with Uncle Jeff, and having an Easter egg hunt among the cacti. We swung by San Antonia to show Norma some pictures and say goodbye on our way home. It is a long trek, but worth it every time.
