I can tell this year that we are getting to the phase of life where we get busy with kid events. Alexia was selected to be on the 5th grade Math Masters team this year, and she did amazing. She placed 10th in the individual events (out of 90) and was the only girl in the line up. Then her team placed second overall. Being a spectator at a math competition is a very quite endeavor.
She wanted to play both violin and french horn this year, and we let her try both. So we also had an honor band concert to go to along with regular band concerts and orchestra concerts. It was busy, but really fun to see her trying out new things. We are very proud of her.
