The Beach

We got to spend some time at the beach. Our hotel was on the beach and right up the shore from Padre Island National Seashore. It was spring break while we were there, but we never did run into crowds of college students. I guess they were safely far enough away on South Padre Island. Alexia LOVED the sand, especially digging in it. However, she was much more wary of the water. The first time the water came up and covered her toes she dove for Dad. The water coming and going made her nervous but she eventually got into it. She seemed to want to clean up all the seaweed on the beach. She practically filled a large bucket we had with it. I think more than anything she loved pointing out all the birds and dogs on the beach.
