Chris's parents came to visit in mid-August this year, which ended up being a life saver. The girls were bouncing off the walls after getting back from the Smokies and nothing really scheduled for them to do until school starts at the beginning of September. They had a week of getting to play with Grandma and Grandpa while Chris and I had to be back at work. It has been a very hot and dry summer here and it was no exception while they were here. We did manage a trip out to the Sheyenne National Grasslands and the North Country Trail on the weekend, but it was so hot nobody made it very far down the trail. And it was so dry that there weren't even very many flowers this year. We also celebrated Glenn's birthday with a steak dinner and a flourless chocolate cake. Otherwise, it was lots of art projects and games all week for them.
