The Aunts Go Marching One by One

Alexia has gotten to meet 3 of her Aunts now. After Aunt Nicole came to visit in February, Aunt Joanna and then Aunt Elizabeth came to visit. I think they all quickly realized that Lexi is BY FAR the most exciting part of Vermillion, South Dakota. We took Aunt Joanna to the "big" city of Sioux Falls just to get out of town (and to visit Sonic, an Ahlering family favorite), and Aunt Elizabeth went for a 4 mile run and toured the whole town. =) We have been happy to have all the company and sad to see them go. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we see them all again.


Sleeping is one of Alexia's favorite activities. We are happy with that, but wish more of it would happen at night. =)

Aunt Joanna made a good pillow and seems to have the magic sleep touch. =)












I like this picture. You can see her long eyelashes. But maybe not at this size.










Aunt Elizabeth made Lexi this beautiful quilt. She loves the contrast and likes to stare at it (and try to suck on it) during tummy time.










Lexi has started to "coo" as they say. But none of it really sounds like cooing to me. She isn't a dove after all. She is often quite verbose though. I think she is orating for Aunt Elizabeth here.
