Well, Bless My Soul

We had Alexia baptised at the Catholic church in town. I am not the world's most devout Catholic, and so I was a little hesitant about what the church in Vermillion was going to be like. However, the priest at St. Agnes was very nice and fairly open-minded.

Alexia was pretty cute in her gown. She didn't mind it too much, but she is not a big fan of hats.

Alexia has the honor of having her Aunt Joanna and Grandpa Ahlering as her God Parents, and they were both there for the ceremony.

Father John, however, is also very absent-minded. Maybe you have to be open-minded when you have trouble remembering details. We had planned to have the ceremony after the 10:30 mass, but when we arrived he had forgotten and was planning to do it during mass. In the end, we did have the ceremony after mass and Alexia was very good through the whole thing.

It was nice to have so much family together for the weekend.
