Alexia was supposed to have her First Communion this spring with her class. They postponed the original date, but as soon as the state opened back up they had a mass for anyone interested. We were not comfortable with that at the time, and opted to wait with many others. Last weekend, they finally did a private mass just for the First Communion kids. It was the first time we had been in church since last February. It was a little strange because Father gave us the hosts with him and us wearing masks and then we stepped over to the side to eat it. Smart, but strange. She was nervous but actually pretty excited. It went well, and the most fun part was actually getting to get dressed up to go somewhere.
