The next day we got up and drove north headed to Acadia in Maine. We stopped for lunch in Portland, and made a stop at the LL Bean headquarters along the way. Portland was had a super cute downtown near the water. We could have spent a lot more time poking around the shops there. Chris and I could have spent a whole day and a lot of money in the kitchen store. They advertised potato donuts everywhere so eventually we had to try one. Addi and I were not particularly impressed. The giant boot at LL Bean was missing for renovation, but the girls did get a photo op with a boot shaped truck. I think we all came away with some new clothes.
