Our last morning in New York my parents, the girls, and I went to the top of the rock. We went down to Rockefeller Center early. The girls saw where they were filming the Today Show. They were offered to be on TV but had no interest in doing that. Then we took the first elevator up to the Top of the Rock. It was a great view of the city and the Empire State Building. Then we headed back to the hotel. Chris and I were taking an earlier train back to CT to pick up our car, and my parents and the girls were taking a later train back to DC. Chris and I's train was very delayed, and all the trains were running slow because of heat restrictions. Plus the air conditioning was not really working on the train so it was HOT. We finally made it to CT, and Chad and Tracy brought our car to us at the station, which was very kind. We had dinner with them and set off down the road a little ways. The girls had an easy train ride to DC with my parents, and then got to spend a few days with them there. We saw A LOT on this trip, and we managed to do it with no major vehicle hiccups.
