The next day we spent the day hanging out with our friends in Storrs. Chad and Tracy are both faculty at UConn. Leland just graduated 8th grade and Aubrey will be a senior in high school next year. It was a little drizzly most of the day, but Chris and Chad got up early and had a good birding day. The girls and I got a tour of UConn's campus. They got a picture with Jonathan the mascot. We did a short hike in UConn forest and along a nice stream. Chad grilled in the rain, and we had ice cream at the Dairy Bar for dessert. We finished the day with a game of nerts. It was a nice low key day after all the driving we had been doing to get there.
